Purple Shirt of the Week: Holiday Edition

Purple Shirt of the Week: Stay Warm in the Blizzard
stay warm than with a nice pair of Purple socks? Well, with a purple
sweater to match, of course!
That's what us New Englanders do. We stay at home and knit in
snowstorms. Well, not that I personally do. But my fellow nutmegger
Ann does, and it's a very New England thing to do. if you like her
socks, head on over to travelingann.blogspot.com and if you ask
nicely, she might agree to make & sell you a pair. She's the queen of
socks, I tell you.
Which is a much better position than to be the Queen of Scots.
Because we all know how THAT ended...

Purple Shirt of the Week - Blouses!
suit last week, the color was so loud. So this week we're going to
bring it down to the simple, classic blouse, modeled by my co-worker
and suite-mate Edie.
She wanted to get in on the purple scene here; and so in the spirit of
togetherness, sends out a high five to everyone here in purple-land.
Actually, that's two high fives, I'm not sure what you call that, but
we used to do it on the basketball team all the time.
(Note: just because you're really tall doesn't mean you're a born
basketball player. I'm just sayin'... Edie is about a foot shorter
than me, and while we've never played, I'm sure I'd be what is called
"schooled".)

Purple Shirt of the Week: You're such a Joker
you, my loyal readership, are just going to help me perpetuate this,
aren't you? I keep getting submissions and promises of such - much
more than I would have expected or hoped for, and now I don't know
when I'll ever get to my bright purple "NASHVILLE" tshirt with
brighter multicolored letters that my dad got in some airport when I
was in high school that I've never worn. (Really, Dad, did you WANT
me to get beaten up?)
Before we get to that particular bit of loveliness, and while we're on
the subject of Dad, we're going to feature this week a lovely piece
from my brother. As I've mentioned in the header of this blog, he's
no stranger to the color. This recent photo was taken at work on
Halloween. What you don't know is that this is not some getup he
purchased for the occasion. No, dear readers, this is left over from
his early 1990's DJ work in clubs.
So while I may have owned a pair of pants this color, and a bunch of
odd shirts, he has the whole suit. We salute you, Fingers, in your
bold pioneering of fashion.

Purple Shirt of the Week: What ever happened to my pants?!?
Back in college i had a pair of purple pants. Really purple pants. I seem to recall wearing them with my red suspenders from Glee Club on at least on occasion.
For the record, no, I never did question why people thought I was gay. I just politely told my gentlemen callers no, thank you, I'm flattered, but I wasn't interested.
So in memory of said purple pants, and the fact that I didn't date as much as I would have liked in Junior year (I'm sure there's no coincidence), we feature this week my new friend Katie's purple corduroys, which she wears with much more ...ahem... aplomb.
